The Great Listening is happy to share an upcoming, online course by Dr. Lyla June Johnston!
Session 1:
First Insights:
In our first class, we will learn from Dr. Lyla June about Indigenous land care strategies from around the world. We will explore past and current examples of living in reciprocity with the earth. We will be inspired by the powerful ways that human beings can be a catalyst for biodiversity and ecosystems health. We will reflect on the state of our respective environments and what timely needs we can support in these places.
Course Basics:
Study dozens of Indigenous regenerative ecosystem design case studies, and their strategies/principles.
Work with peers to create your own strategic plan for healing the earth, in your backyard or beyond.
NO ONE turned away for lack of funds (suggested donation $40-$60 USD per student.)
100% of profits go to hoghan construction via IINÁH Institute, an Indigenous-led initiative for cultural, social, and linguistic revitalization.
Schedule:
We meet live via Zoom (register to receive link) on August 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st, at 9-11AM Pacific Time / 11AM-1PM Central Time, with class recordings available for days you can't make.
